First time here! Lots of flavors to choose from. The lady that helped us was really nice! Our group decided on the 2 scoops to get the free cone! Yum!!! Great customer service and we even received complimentary cookies with our order. We are from Orange County (California) and definitely enjoyed the ice cream here. :)

We stopped in last night at 8. There were a few people outside, but the cars were starting to unload as we walked up. Fast forward five min. I count six or so people working the counter and an older woman making waffle cones. The smell was amazing and short lived thanks to the "Fab Six or So." Not ONE had a good attitude. They said "Hi" to the crowd then it went downhill. In fact, the middle aged woman taking care of us which asked who was next and upon raising a hand said, " haven't you already been helped?" Seriously? Do you see a cone in my hand or the hand of the person next to me? Would I have grabbed your attention for shits and giggles? With everyone still in one place, the other patrons had to search for ice cream and someone to help causing a pile up at the door and throughout the place. I'm sure having one register is an issue when you get busy. That's where TEAMWORK comes into play. And having to take four more steps to the CC machine looks like a pain too and should probably be mentioned to the owner but for the love of all that is holy, SMILE ladies! We watched two families of 4+ walk in as we were leaving and left as we got to our car. Maybe the line was too long, maybe they too could see the unorganized mess that was at the head of the circus we shall call Larry's. The ice cream is...eh. Mass produced so nothing special for flavors. Gelato was plenty, but looked old. It had the freezer burn look to some. I had the peanut butter cup with a scoop of salted caramel in a chocolate peanut waffle cone and my man flavor had some peanut butter something from the board in a cup. He enjoyed it. All in all....we won't return. The frequent ice cream shopper card should maybe be handed out with a recommendation to come back. You're on the beach. You have regulars and tourist. Being asked if I will be back with such lack luster enthusiasm as if giving said card was a privilege is a waste.

I visited this ice cream shop last summer. The ice creams and treats menu are plenty, I got two scoops in a cup, and it was yummy. However the teen gals behind the counter left much to be desired. I guess that's how some teens are these days though. They were a bit impatient that we were taking a while to look at the extensive menu. Only two other people were there & they had already ordered before us, so we weren't holding anyone up. One gal even got snappy with a family member of mine. Kinda left a "bad taste" in our mouths. Plenty other ice cream shops to go to. This was last summer-2014, no idea if they are still there.

YUM!! This place has been around a long time and while I have not been in a while it is still the same great place it was 10 yrs ago. If it had not been raining we would have gone to another place for ice cream on the beach so thank you mother nature for steering us this way. It was crowded, but that is a good thing and the staff kept the lines moving. They had enough employees and they were friendly. They have pretzel cones - oh ya!!! They also have about 8 other specialty cones - yum. They have gelato, ice cream, custard and frozen yogurt . . .many, many options. I had butterscotch somethingerother that had lots of things mixed in. They have sundaes, cones, cups, "blizzards", and many other options. If you are on St Pete Beach give this place a try - enjoy!!

This yummy place has a great variety of ice cream. We stopped by with the kids and opted in with the chocolate rainbow sprinkles sugar cones and the chocolate nut sugar cones. The kids had chocolate ice cream and mint chocolate which are yummy and I had the pistachio gelato. The Pistachio gelato was not overly sugary and had just the right amount of pistachio nut inside on every mouthful. Unfortunately, the cones were disappointing because they were chewy and soggy because they came out of the fridge.

  • Keith C.

Most places in the area worthy of 5 stars. This place always gets us twice in the 2 weeks we stay down here. Def worth your stop in. Their Gelato and specialty cones are I think what puts them above. Their Gelato may be the best I've had.

Found this place through yelp and was not disappointed. My hubby and I made a trip there on a Saturday afternoon to check out the selection. We both had amazing creations. Wish the staff was a little more knowledgeable about the contents of the ice creams and Gelato. I have a gluten allergy and they didn't seem to have much guidance on that. I just stuck with stuff I knew would be safe and the results were fab. Will Def go back.

  • Lisa S.

Sooo many options! I admit I was a bit overwhelmed. It would've been nice to have a little orientation to the menu. For example, with the sundaes I didn't know if you could choose between soft serve and regular ice cream. My husband and I shared a brownie sundae with 2 scoops of ice cream. While it was tasty, it cost $10. I thought that was a bit steep. Also the service could have been better.

  • Louise G.

Though they claim ice cream is made by them and "we have someone make the gelato" in truth both appear to be purchased from national wholesalers: Stefano's gelato and "The ice cream club." It's good ice cream/ gelato but don't know that it's worth $3/scoop. (I hope the owner doesn't flame me!)

  • Kelly S.

Tasty ice cream. Millions of flavors - or there might as well be. It can get extremely busy/crowded in there so enter at your own risk.

  • Allyn H.

I love this place! Been coming here since I was 10 years old. Now I am hooked on the Gelato. Yum. Service is always very friendly, they let you try as many samples as you want (I need to with this many choices) and they are open late.

My friend and I were going to stop by the Don Cesar for ice cream but we were frustrated by the hot mess of a parking situation there. We drove up the beach and stumbled into Larry's. She was familiar with them, but it was my first time. As many of my reviews have said, I'm not into chocolate. At all. Do you know how hard it is to get ice cream selections that don't have it mixed into a large number of their options? Well, let me tell you, I end up with a choice between 3 things when I go looking for it. Larry's was a pleasant surprise. I know they have multiple cases, but I found my flavors in the first one. I had the banana fosters and gingerbread (with some kind of alcohol in it) in a waffle bowl. The portion was pretty substantial, the bowl seemed to be fresh, and the flavors were really good. They weren't overpowering and I loved the texture of the gingerbread chunks. It was also nice to see flavors that were different from the norm. The only downsides? It was sort of dark inside, the parking lot is a little funky, and the tables outside weren't cleaned up very well. I can't believe I missed the sign that had apple pie sundaes and funnel cakes though. It gives me a reason to go back!

  • Jess M.

Best ice cream on the beach. So many options that you are sure to find the treat you are looking for. Must stop there if you are in the area. Definitely try the funnel cake sundae!

Of all the places for the cold treats, you can't beat Larry's!!!! Yummy yummy yummy!!!

    (5)
  • Kelli C.

Most of the gelato looks and tastes freezer burned. Bland, boring ice cream in what could have been a cute location. Take a pass!

    (1)
  • Leighann S.

Impressed! I went there to get an ice cream sundae. Yummy! The place appeared busy but we ordered in a timely manner. I observed the manager changing out the trash bags outside while enjoying my sundae. She was very friendly and engaged in a conversation. Will definitely go back.

  • Julie D.

Incredible!!! The best ice cream I have ever had and they have so many choices. Great service too!!

  • Joy C.

We always love the many amazing flavors to choose from and the awesome service! Our favorite treat after a family beach day! We always take family here when they come to visit!! Their chocolate dipped waffle cones are out of this world!!

  • Digital B.

On St. Pete beach there is no other! The gelato is drop dead amazing and I love the triple chocolate version with chocolate chips. I have only been here twice so I don't have much to review but from the number of other people drooling over their ice cream and gelato I know all their products come highly recommended. They also server other items like candy and pie but the ice cream and gelato is the highlight of your visit!

    (4)
  • Heather P.

Yummy late night treat! Stopped by based on yelp recommendation and really enjoyed it. Big selection and the smell when we walked in was wonderful! We will be back!

    (4)
  • Jenni K.

Um, delicious. They have gelato and ice cream, about a thousand flavors of each. Get gelato. It's the best. Taste a few flavors. The ice cream scoopers are nice and patient while you taste your way through the ice cream case. Get your ice cream and sit outside. It's noisy inside and there isn't much space.

    (5)
  • E F.

Omg. Ooooomg. I had no idea what to get bc there were so many options, so I just ordered the brownie sunday with vanilla ice cream and a waffle cone. There are no words. My friends' orders were all equally unique and delicious. This place is amazing

If you're craving ice cream, find some where else to go. This place was a cluttered disappointing mess. It's certainly not with $5.50. Yes they do have homemade waffle cones and 60 flavors, but that really doesn't matter if the ice cream has freezer burn. I'm guessing if you get a very popular flavor then it may be fresh, but mine certainly was not. There's not anything special about the ice cream they serve, it's basically what you'd find at the grocery store which I would try before going back here. Their ice cream is not "homemade" or made in house. I will say the service was friendly and helpful. The inside is small and very cluttered. It feels stuffy and dingy. There's way too much random product on the counters, their 60 flavors are listed. You have to walk to each case to read them. They do serve gelato too. I didn't try it so I can't say if it's any better than the ice cream. They also have some fresh baked pies, they have a local baker who they purchase them from. The apple pie looked good. If you want ice cream I'd try some where else, I was very disappointed in the terrible quality.

What more could you ask for? This place offers something for everybody and has been around for a few decades, so you know it is pretty good. They have ice cream gelato, custard, pies, cakes, and regular food as well. They even offer about 5 sugar free flavors that even my diabetic father could enjoy. This is a great spot to hit when coming off the beach and wanting to cool off. Make sure to try a sample of the smurf ice cream, my childhood favorite!

  • Letha B.

We come to Larry's when we are in the mood for some super delicious gelato or ice cream. It's not cheap, but there are many choices, and the staff is always friendly. There are quite a few seats indoors and some seats outside too. They also have other food, but we haven't tried any of that. We love Larry's!

  • Mike P.

Still my favorite in St Pete Beach, though Uncle Andy's is narrowing the gap. Larry has been doing it right for as long as I can remember, and they've only improved with time. Once a bastion of strictly ice cream, they've added gelato, pastries, soft serve, and quick foods like burgers and fries. They've even become more creative in how they get that delectable ice cream to you. In addition to traditional cups, cones and shakes, they've come up with imaginative containers like pastry and cake containers such as a brownie sundae or a plethora of Belgian waffle cone/cup styles. The ice cream is rich, creamy and delicious. There is an abundance of flavors from which to choose, and everyone is sure to find a classic or a new favorite flavor. With all of the sinful combinations, its a true haven for your sweet tooth. Parking can get a little tight art peak hours. And it can be a little difficult to get on and off Gulf Blvd at times. In addition, it can sometimes be missed when traveling south due to how it's situated. However, I'm sure to stop by at least once every time I visit St Pete.

  • Courtney Y.

Of the gelato we sampled it tasted icy and refrozen. Not impressed. Waffle cones looked to die for but did not stick around to try. The Baja chocolate sample was creamy and had potential. Eh. To each their Own.

  • T2 B.

It's such a treat not only to find a place that offers sugar-free ice cream, but a place that even offers a CHOICE of flavors. That's hard to come by! Both their regular and sugar-free flavors are delicious and service is usually efficient. It's a little on the pricey side (just over $10 for my husband and I each to get a double scoop), but worth it!

    (5)
  • Caitie B.

This place is NOT good. Baskin Robbins level...hard ice cream that doesn't taste homemade at all! The cake was also really dry and old. Here on a fri night and no one else is...makes sense now. Go to Paradise Sweets instead!

Loved it so much we came twice during our mini vacation. I had the chocolate peanut butter. OMG. Addiction!! They were super busy but these girls hustled and we were served quick. Can't wait to come back!

Nice little ice cream shop along St. Pete Beach. Very friendly staffs. Their gelato was okay but their peanuts salted caramel ice cream is the bomb!!!! A must try :) Lots of flavorts to choose from.

Small but packed with flavors!!! Great place to get some awesome ice cream or gelato.. Seems like a family owned joint that has been around for some time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone staying on the island.

We have been coming to Larry's for many years and always enjoy it. They always have a great selection of homemade ice cream here. The store is small and can get crowded.

Delicious ice cream with many fun flavors to choose from and yummy speciality cones. A great treat to grab by the beach. Atmosphere could have been better - staff wasn't friendly to us at all.

    (4)
  • Katrina S.

Hands down best Gelato I have ever had! They have a huge selection of flavors. My favorite is either the chocolate filled waffle bowl or the brownie sundae. I really can't decide. Their brownies are so fudgey soft and melt in your mouth. They also have fabulous cakes and pies. Yum! Just stop reading this and go there immediately. Your welcome.

Yummy! So good but a bit too sweet for me. Great flavor. Smooth texture. Love love gelato! Hubby said cup sizes are just like in Italy! I just wished for more creative flavors.

Great Ice cream - kind of dirty and very cluttered like the shop a hoarder runs ? Focus on the ice cream and lose the clutter.

We were in St. Petersburg on vacation and found Larry's. The ice cream was good but the homemade Italian gelato was amazing.

  • Jay M.

Use to be a great place 10 years ago. COST: Prices are quite high... maybe if I was at the Don Ceasar, but $5 for 2 scoop of ice cream and $6 for a 2 scoop of gelato. Definitely quite expensive. TASTE: The ice cream tasted quite old and not fresh.

I had the coconut cake with coconut ice cream last night, awesome. Had the salted caramel gellatto tonight, it was great as well.

Great ice cream shop. I would have posted a picture, but it Didn't last that long. A must do in St. Pete Beach.

  • Frank A.

The best! Ice cream selections are fantastic. I get the Gelato every time now. It gets very busy because its that good. I know the owners, they are wonderful people. A mom and pop shop that succeeds due to their hard work, dedication and top shelf product and selection.

    (5)
  • Taylor W.

So impressed by all of the flavors!! I had the Sangria gellato with the Lemoncello on a waffle cone! The aroma is just heavenly here smelling of waffle cones and sweets :) the have 80 flavors here and are more than happy to have you try a sample!! I sampled the keylime pie and it had bits of crust like from the pie! Yummy! The birthday cake one had sprinkles in it. Seemed like the ice cream flavors had a little accent ingredients in it to make it super special! I can't wait to come back here. I took my friends and her kids here while visiting from Washington, IL and they were too excited about this place and can't wait to return! Defiantly riding my bike here and beaching it soon!!

One of our favorite places to visit when in the St. Pete beach area. It's a family tradition. Our visit tonight was another hit. We got Bubble Gum flavor, Smurf, Moose Tracks, Butterscotch Bomb, and Cookies & Cream!

  • Alison C.

Went back to back nights while on vacation in St Pete Beach. My 7 yr old daughter summed it up by exclaiming "this place is off the hizzy!" So many delicious flavors to choose it was difficult, but every flavor we had (ice cream and gelato) was awesome. I consider myself an ice cream afficionado & I loved it! I usually never get cones either because of their cardboard flavor, but the waffle cones were a treat in themselves. The staff was also very friendly.

    (5)
  • Trish B.

Great ice cream. They have an awesome selection, and now they have Gelato too. It's got the nostalgic feel to it - and who doesn't want ice cream after a day at the beach!

  • Cameron S.

Old school Ice Cream Parlors are becoming more and more scarce all the time. In a world dominated by DQ, Coldstone and Baskin Robin's i'ts refreshing to come to an old fashioned place! The first thing I love here is the selection, there are ice cream cases almost 360 degrees around the store. In addition they concoct plenty on ice cream treats, making ordering a tough task! I had Superman ice cream (something people in Vegas have never heard of) and it was very smooth and rich in flavor. I hadn't had enough so I also had a vanilla malt which was well done. I still could have got more (what's 3 items when you've already had 2) but I figured I show some sort of restraint.

Larry's is always the best. I get double scoop of double fudge brownie and it is really good. If you like ice cream, definitely go to Larry's.

We checked out this place after a bite locally. We were in the mood for gelato and ice cream. Other Yelpers gave it 4-5 stars so figured it would be a good choice. Parking is limited and tight unless you park next door at the real estate agency. The place is small and when its busy the line can easily stream out the door. There tables inside and out but again not many and can be cramped , so we elected to eat it in the truck. There is an abundance of flavors and combinations and the construction preferences look endless. I came for the Gelato on account of other yelpers felt it was good. I wanted to try at least 3 flavors so I can give them a fair review.I chose the Italian coffee, Creme de Menthe and a Coconut Almond conconction. I ordered the Triple ( $7) a bit pricey I felt considering the gelato was not as good as I anticipated it would be. It wasn't bad just a little above average. If you really want great gelato , check out my Yelp review of Paciugo over by the St Pete pier. I know its not convenient but its worth the trip. My GF ordered some Butterscotch concoction and thought it was decent. The service is good and friendly and its a good place when your walking Gulf Blvd or after a bite on the strip, but not my favorite either.

I had been wanting some nice local ice cream while on vacation and this place was perfect. I had the German chocolate in s coconut chocolate duped waffle cone- it was amazing. I totally recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Hands down my favorite gelato ever. Try the strawberry chocolate gelato. You won't be disappointed. Beyond amazing.

I hated this place. Go across the street to the twisted treat. Heres how it went down... So I'm all child like excited to get a scoop of something fantastic... drove from super far ... Just to go to this place. Practically skipping into this highly yelp rated ice cream shop... Im with two friends... its 10:30 pm so it wasn't busy - at all...two girls at the register and a couple at a table.. The 3 ladies behind the counter never looked up to say hello... We waited... there are plenty of choices... So we browsed the ice cream cases for a second... When almost threateningly this rough looking older red headed and badly in need of dental work woman passed us on her broom...i tried to give her eye contact in an attempt to get some service...she looked through me ... then i simply asked for a taste of the mint chocolate chip. i wasnt going to let her ruin my fun ice cream night! It was like she hated me... She walked to another bin to get the sample of this flavor. When she returned I politely said, "oh, you had to walk all the way over there"... Apologetically even. Apparently, the ice cream that was in the bin matching up to the label wasn't MCC... So she rudely and snappily replies "yea, mint chocolate chip is green"... Like duh... It's like my fun ice creaming bubble popped... Oh and by the way, I have had mint chocolate chip ice cream that wasn't green plenty of times... At that point I was scared to even order... The death stares I was getting from her and the two other scary women in that place were so frightening. An ice cream shop is supposed to be fun... I ordered a Vanilla waffle come with chocolate on it and that was stale... The French vanilla ice cream was medium and that's being nice. They should go Into the I hate you, leave my store and don't spend any money business.

I went in there at 10:45 (their website and door and every form of advertising says they close at 11:30 p.m.) and they tried to rush us, only let us get ice cream and I felt like they didn't even want our business. I don't understand how you can run a business when you don't adhere to your opening and closing times. I worked at an ice cream shop in Arizona for six years and I would NEVER treat my customers like this. I will not be back, and I will be telling all my friends to go somewhere else.

So many choices.. The staff was very helpful, ice cream was good, atmosphere good, definitely recommend!

  • Jasmine A.

I just want Larry's to know that I ADORE smurf ice cream and it's worth the 889 mile drive to have a cone whenever I'm in town. Fun fact: there's an ice cream place on Duval that serves smurf ice cream also :)

  • Amy D.

Love this little ice cream shop. Tons of flavors, lots of choices between ice cream, sorbetto, soft serve, and gelato. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was pleasant and patient as we tried hard to narrow it down. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was yummy and the mango sorbet was cool and tasty. Will for certain return to sample more.

I always crave ice cream when I'm at the beach! Larry's is a great place to get great home made ice cream!! It is a little pricey, but soooo good!

    (5)
  • Mark M.

Good gelato! Typical beach prices!! A lot, and I mean a lot, of choices when it comes to flavors. Kids seem to like the homemade waffle cones dipped in chocolate and jimmies. 8 tables and 5 bar-type stools, which are over the ice cream coolers, so if you sit on a bar stool, be prepared for people looking over you into the coolers. The place is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Restrooms were clean. In the front over by the TV, they put out a cooler with water in case you need a drink.

We went here from advise off of yelp and very glad we did . We really enjoyed the choc peanut butter ice cream and the dieters revenge. My bf wanted to come back and try the apple pie sundae . So we did. The second time around we got the apple pie sundae and I got the cookies and cream .. Very cute little place and smelled delicious walking thru the door .

  • Ester M.

Larry's Ice cream is very delicious. They have a variety of flavors and serve in cups and cones. There are many toppings and kids love the interesting sprinkles. Gelato is another favorite choice. Sydney and Dore are friendly owners and often sit and chat with the customers when not serving.

    (5)
  • Salinee H.

Great ice cream selection. They had just what I was looking for - chocolate fudge brownie.

    (4)
  • Matt E.

Larry's is a no frills kind of ice cream shop. They don't make their own ice cream or gelato and it's not much to look at from either the inside or outside BUT the prices are low, the portions are good, the quality of the ice cream they do have is good, and the service is pleasant. I had both the apple pie and chocolate raspberry ice creams and was happy with both.

  • Jesse Jayne W.

This is a cute little ice cream parlor with lots of options. It is difficult to get around but as soon as you get your treats you can go outside to sit. They have great hours, open till 11. The staff was nice. We tried several before we decided on what we wanted and they were happy to help. They have a huge selection and they even have 3 sugar free ice creams. My wife got the gelato and it was real good. Something for the whole family. We will be coming back.

  • Rusty B.

Larry's ice cream has been in St Pete Beach for several years. The shop is small and traditional, with all the good flavors. Home made waffle cones are good to eat there, or get a cup of ice cream with a lid to go. I definitely recommend.

    (4)
  • Jan S.

German chocolate ice cream, which is chocolate, coconut and almonds. Could there be a more perfect combination in this world?! Good range of flavor choices and many types of desserts. Nice little café feel inside. Just overpriced at $3.20 for the smallest scoop (which is par with a kiddie scoop at most other shops). But if you want to splurge and have a hankering for ice cream, give it a try.

  • Shanna D.

Peppermint Ice Cream. There are countless ice cream shops on Gulf Blvd and I am at Larry's because they always have peppermint ice cream, not just during Christmas time. Larry's has been around all my life. I can remember always getting a scoop that hits the spot after a hot day at the beach. The peanut butter sundae is awesome and can be shared between couples. The homemade waffle cone is free with a double scoop, so that is my choice for having my peppermint ice cream served to me. Lots of other flavors to make adults' and kids' taste buds say "YAY!"

There is very good ice cream to be had at St Pete Beach! Do you really need more detail? Highly recommend!

  • Jean P.

What can I say but that Larry's is amazing. I'm really not a big ice cream person, but I vaguely remembered getting a pink lemonade ice cream cone as a kid while on a trip to Treasure Island with my grandparents, and now I realize it was at Larry's. You know that when you remember an ice cream cone for 30 years, it was a keeper! I got the chance to go back during a vacation just a few weeks ago, and they are still wonderful! This time I got one with 7 different chopped up candy bars mixed in - Heath, Reese's, Hershey Bar, Nestle Crunch, and shoot I can't remember the rest! Plus I got it in a waffle cone that was dipped in chocolate and encrusted with broken Heath bars. Yes I had an insane sugar rush for an hour and then took a nap! DELICIOUS!!! Oh and the parking lot sucks, there are about 4 spaces at extremely awkward angles. If possible, park somewhere else and walk there.

    (5)
  • Vivian M.

Not impressed. The wait was ridiculously long. Staff didn't seem to be knowledgeable on prices or how to dip a cone?!? Way overpriced! We had 2 medium soft serve cones dipped in chocolate....$10.98. Really? Twistee Treat is a short distance away.

Great place to go and get out of that summer sun. Creamy, rich ice-cream served up daily. I've not tried their other deserts, but their death by chocolate, rum raisin, black cherry and key lime ice-creams are a few of my favorites. I'd make a special trip to go to Larry's for a two-scoop waffle cone at least once while I'm visiting the St. Pete Beach area. However, it does get busy and with a small parking lot, you may have to park next door. The dining (inside and limited outside tables) can be full. When several large families come in at one time, seating can be tough. So check the parking lot before you make a decision to stop in at that time. If full, there could be a line, so be patient. If not much traffic is there, take the opportunity to sample a long-time favorite of the beach area.

best chocolate dipped waffle cone. strawberry cheesecake ice cream had chunks of real cheese cake in it, delicious! the mixed berry sorbet was also a treat, with tons of berries. only giving it 4 stars because we haven't been able to check out the rest of the 80 flavors! great service.

Great ice cream place, felt like a bit of old florida. The staff was nice and the place was like a old ice cream store, I'd go back for sure.

I was stunned by the dessert offerings. They have almost every traditional ice cream flavor, around twelve gelato flavors, plus desserts such as delicious chocolate cake, pie, and strawberry shortcake. We just kept discovering more and more to tempt us! I finally settled on two scoops of gelato in a 'specialty' waffle cone. This meant that the cone was double dipped in Belgian chocolate (it was so thick!) THEN in pecans. I've never had a dipped cone enrobed in such rich chocolate before. My favorite gelato was the coconut fudge, and next time I'll probably stick to only one scoop as the servings were much larger than I expected based on my experiences with other gelato shops. There are many ice cream shops in this little beach town. Larry's is the one you should visit and stick with for good service and delicious treats!

This is an amazing shop. I have never seen so many flavors of ice cream and gelato under one roof. When you go there, it feels like home....not cold and impersonal like going to a franchise store. I tried two of the gelato flavors when I was there and they were just divine...a Cappucino and a Chocolate Fudge. YUM!! Plus, they make their waffle cones fresh, on the premises, every day. I cannot even describe how delicious it was. I plan on going back there every time I head out to St. Pete beach. Honestly, its worth a special trip over the bridge from Tampa just to have one of the waffle cones again.

Amazing ice cream shop. They have a million flavors of traditional ice cream along with just about every other kind of dessert you can think of. We went twice on our recent trip to St. Pete Beach. The first night I had a huge cup of their rich vanilla with M&M's on top. It was delicious. The second night I tried a mixed berry gelato that was also delicious. Both times we went as a group with multiple car loads full of people and everyone loved what they got. Visiting Larry's is a must when you are in St. Pete. Check it out.

As far as gelato goes, this is a 5-star place. Some of the best gelato I've ever had. Now I haven't been to Italy (yet) but I have eaten plenty of gelato in the North End in Boston and this gelato rivaled the best I've had. Its relatively cheap (I think we got out for under $25 for 5 of us). They make their own waffle cone bowls which we all went for. They dip them in chocolate and that was my favorite part after the gelato of course. I got two flavors: straciatella (which is a penna cotta cream based chocolate chip) and chocolate covered espresso bean (self-explanatory), they were both amazing and I was really really full and considering going for another round. This was the third stop on our dinner trip after Spinners and Snappers so we had been eating and drinking for the past 4 hours but this hit the spot perfectly. Come here if you want some great ice cream, sorbet and gelato (especially the gelato).

Delicious! I Love that they offer such a variety of options. My husband had a flurry type dessert filled with candy bars while I opted for two spoonfuls of gelato in a waffle cone. The smell of homemade waffle cones filled the air and made my selection easier. They also offered homemade apple pie, chocolate brownies, and another cake as well.

The best ice cream spot in St Pete Beach. The gelato is to die for. More flavors than I have seen in one place. They also have regular ice cream. They have other desserts including fresh baked apple pie, pecan pie, and chocolate cake. The lady behind the counter claims that the gelato is fat free and only 130 calories. Nor sure that I believe that, but that didn't stop me from eating three times. Gotta check it out!

Very good selection of ice cream and gelato. My wife had pie, which she said was delicious. The kids shared a sundae and spent the next twenty minutes spazzing out as we drove down the beach and then for a swim. Service was terrific. There are tables inside and out. Ambiance is nice, though crowded.

SO many flavors!! Tried the hazelnut (nocciola) and pistachio gelatos. Two scoops with a free waffle cone = $5.85. I think that's pretty reasonable for good ice cream/gelato, especially in such a high-traffic, touristy area. And, oooh boy, was it good! I may have to go back tomorrow...

Very tasty gelato in a waffle cone, yum yum! It was like eating a frozen mounds bar. Just a little expensive, but heck, your on vacation.

Wow the gelato was really good. A lot of options to choose from (peanut butter cup gelato is the jam) and service was pretty good. There was a steady flow of people in Larry's so it was a bit crowded but definitely worth the trip.

Some of the best gelato and sorbet I've ever had. Flavors range from Moose Tracks to Rose Champagne Sorbetto [my god, it was like listening to the Beatles for the first time]. They have a 'slab' there, although I've never tried any creations. Oh and the funnel cake sundae SOUNDS like a good idea, but lets be real. It's not and you feel like throwing up afterwards.

It ain't all that. After going to a place like Molly Moon's in Seattle, it is going to take a lot.

If you want a sweet fix this is the place. The homemade waffle cones are GREAT!! I had chocolate gelato but it wasn't just chocolate it was chocolate times 5 or 6. It was down from the beach resorts we were hanging around and and easy walk. It is a little small inside and when we got there it was 30 minutes til closing and packed but with all the flavors to choose from (ice cream and gelato) it wasn't long before the line went down and tasty, frozen treat was in hand.
